Tony Wolfinger: I have been asked to write a small bio about Tony; probably because we’ve been friends for 25 years. I’m happy I was asked to do it.
Through the years, what I’ve learned about Tony is that he’s smart, ambitious,
loyal, humorous, and often enjoys a challenge. He has been known to be
very successful in anything he puts his mind and heart into.
This collected man grew up in Maine
and still lives in the vacation state. He has been married nearly 20
years and has 3 great teenage children. As far as occupation is
concerned, the two of us have run an auto repair business for 18 years.
You can find Tony enjoying physical
activities outdoors. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, camping, and
of course, snowmobiling. He is also a dedicated volunteer fire fighter.
For many years this outdoors enthusiast has wanted to make some sort of trip across Alaska and Canada. We weren’t sure how or when, it might happen. After months of hard work and preparation, being the get-it-done kind of guy he is, Tony has finally made his wish come true.
I will miss him, but am also excited for him. I wish him a safe and memorable journey.

Steve McKenna is a 38 year old outdoor enthusiast. He grew up in Dover, NH and has been riding snowmobiles and ATVs since he could sit up. He subscribes to the “work hard and play hard” theory. From backpacking into the Crater on Maui, hiking and camping at the base of the Grand Canyon, to winter camping in the Allagash; Steve is always planning the next adventure.
In October 1992 Steve decided to move back to the seacoast area after having lived in Maui for two and a half years. He shipped his motorcycle from Hawaii to Seattle, Washington and began his cross country motorcycle journey. He drove his motorcycle 9500 miles from Washington to Maine through 20 states and Mexico over a four week period.
Steve spent the next 10 years establishing a General Contracting business and raising 5 children with his wife, Kerri. His two oldest children are currently in college, son, Brett age 21 and daughter, Ashley Kay age 19. He lives in Shapleigh, Maine with his wife and three sons, Luke age 12, Gaven age 10, and Jared age 8. His two youngest boys were diagnosed with Autism before the age of two.
In July 2002 Steve took his family on a four week cross country vacation. His family of seven piled into an RV and headed West. This trip took them through 23 states and 3 Canadian Provinces. They visited 13 National Parks and logged over 10,000 miles.
Over the years, Steve has taken his family on several other vacations including snowmobile and ATV trips in northern Maine and Canada. His passion over the last five years has turned to snowmobiling, this has taken him on countless adventures from Maine throughout Quebec.
He believes that “We are only here for a short time”. His life has been difficult at times but always full.
